Sabine Ganter-Richter has studied at the University of Bonn, Germany, and holds Diploma degrees as a translator of Japanese and Korean. From 1995 until 2008 she worked at the overseas office of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in Bonn (Germany) where she actively supported the establishment and development of the German JSPS Alumni Association. Until 2009 she was in charge of the cooperation with Japan and Korea at the German Research Foundation (DFG). Since 1995 Sabine Ganter-Richter has been working as a translator and held a lectureship at the University of Bonn for 20 years.
As a result of her vast experience in the international science management field, she has developed and maintains contact with administrators and scientists in various disciplines located at institutions throughout Germany as well as in Japan. In 2010 she established Network for Science, an independent consulting agency providing direct support, customized consulting, and tailored information services to the scientific community, public administration, and companies with the aim of establishing and expanding joint ventures and projects with Japanese partners.
To expand activities to the business sector, Sabine Ganter-Richter is developing strategies for stakeholders of each sector to strengthen capacities for innovation as well as for cooperation with scientific research institutions and/or other companies. Sabine Ganter-Richter is a core member of GRANITE, the German Research Ambassadors Network for Industrial Technology Endeavors.
