Jörg Lässig is professor for enterprise application development at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz and at the Fraunhofer IOSB. He is speaker of the special interest group quantum computing of the German Informatics Society GI and for the QAPPS Center for Applied Quantum Computing Saxony. His research focuses on applied aspects - such as the integration of quantum computing in IT services and infrastructure - as well as on the foundations of quantum computing - such as different compute models, quantum complexity and quantum AI. After stays in Stanford, CA and Christchurch, NZ and postdocs in Berkeley, CA and Lugano, Switzerland, he started his EAD research group, which besides quantum computing, that naturally combines his interests and two master studies in computer science and physics, also focuses on cybersecurity and AI.
